THE MAN FROM THE OTHER SIDE

I was too busy trying to create a ringtone of the "Peter" title sequence, so I didn't see what this week's glyph code was. I'll watch it again. However, the truly jaw-dropping moment of this episode was completely spoiled by FOX last week in the promos. I saw it last week and assumed that this week's episode would be all about how Walter and Peter come to terms with the situation. Instead, what FOX had done was ruin the actual climax of the episode.

This type of spoilering is not limited to FOX. I've seen this done for Lost and Heroes, as well. I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind this. I mean, I get that they want the viewers to come back next week, but taking a piece from the climax moment of the show and using it as a promo is idiotic, I think. This show is brilliant; don't ruin it for me. The magic of these shows is in the fact that we don't know what's coming next, or, we expect certain things are coming, but we don't know how they'll come about. Stop showing us what's going to happen and then expect us to continue to be faithful viewers.

Anyways, if you're not watching this show, give it a try. It's a procedural, but the underlying mysteries of the show keep you coming back. Besides, this might be the last time you'll see Leonard Nimoy acting.

Turns out, I'm in love with A.D. Skinner -- I hear he's got a bigger flashlight.
