Not to mention that next year, I'm team captain for Steelhead's team. What was funny about our participation, last year, we sort of didn't know what we were doing, one headache after another, but by the end, we felt that we actually accomplished something good, and raised a good bit of money, I think in USD our cut was about 400 dollars, but we did good. This year, due to the economy and personal real life situations, we decided to be low key in our fundraising, knowing that it's the overall big picture that's important (all teams working together).....despite being low key, we doubled last years team total. Also, this didn't count the Convio website, which is where we could accept donations from folks outside of second life. Steelhead was the fifth top team to have done that, we raised 900 dollars.

Trust me, this is one of those times that Second Life is worth all the headaches that's faced in that virtual world. Even Linden Lab created a special in world item that you could buy, and all the proceeds go to Relay For Life. I've got photos of some of the builds at the campsites this past weekend, I couldn't get them all.....too many and not enough time. My favorite was a replica of Fritz Lang's Metropolis designed by the Caledon team. Simply amazing what some of these residents actually build.
