FUCKING A! I fucking killed! I did 20 minutes of new stuff tonight and the crowd loved it. I know I can do better with my delivery and I still flubbed a tad here and there, but if I'm doing this good when I'm starting out I'm confident I'll get better. After the show the bar owner told me if I keep coming back I get to drink for free. Coop, aka Mark Cooper the popular local morning DJ who hosted the show, traded contact info with me because he wants to set up some shows. AND there was a semi-professional on before me who praised me up and down (his facebook status right now reads "Steven Rifenburg killed tonight and stilll ran into someone better than him... he must be eliminated") and it turns out he went to high school with a friend of mine and he offered me help getting gigs! WORD'M'UP! Very exciting times, I feel like things could happen sooner than I thought with this stand up stuff!

I put a video of the performance up on facebook but I had to put a filter who could see it, as I'm friends on there with my girlfriend's father and didn't want him to hear me talking about all the dirty shit I've done with his daughter, so let me know if you want to see it and Ill add you to the approved list...

Thanks to Yibble for the advice! Sorry it took me so long to read it & reply, i didn't know it was here till LauraPowers tipped me off. I had figured out #2, and #4 just comes naturally, baby. I'm looking forward to my first #6 to get it out of the way. #7 is very interesting & especially helpful, but as for #8 there's no way i'm paying to do improv. Stand up's great because other than gas to get there I don't have to invest anything in it. #9: Always!
